Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Cyber Engineering (IJCE) welcomes original, high-quality research articles, review papers, and theoretical or methodological contributions across cybersecurity and systems engineering.
1. Manuscript Submission
- Submissions must be made through the online submission system.
- Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
- All submissions must follow the journal’s formatting style provided in the Template.
2. Manuscript Format
- Language: English.
- Length: 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references and appendices).
- Citation style: IEEE.
- Structure: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Related Work, Methods/System Design, Experiments & Evaluation, Results, Discussion/Threats to Validity, Conclusion, References (and optional Appendix).
- Abstract: 150–250 words with 3–6 keywords.
- (Encouraged) Artifact/Code Availability: links to datasets, code, or reproducibility packages.
3. Review Process
All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.
Publication Ethics
IJCE is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Responsibilities of Authors
- Ensure originality and proper citation of all sources.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources.
- Avoid simultaneous submissions of the same manuscript.
Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers
- Maintain objectivity, confidentiality, and timeliness during review.
- Avoid conflicts of interest and undue influence.
- Report suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, or other misconduct.
Plagiarism Policy
IJCE strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism and unethical publication practices. Manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or similar plagiarism detection software.
- Overall similarity index must be below 20% and no more than 3% per source.
- Detected plagiarism may result in immediate rejection or retraction.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work.
