Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

International Journal of Cyber Engineering (IJCE) is committed to protecting the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. This statement explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the rights available to data subjects.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account & Profile Data: name, affiliation, email address, and optional biography provided during registration or submission.
  • Manuscript & Workflow Data: submissions, reviews, editorial decisions, and correspondence generated by the editorial process.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, access timestamps, and essential cookies for secure sessions.

2. Purpose of Processing

  • Managing submissions, peer review, editorial decisions, and publication.
  • Maintaining secure user accounts and preventing misuse of the platform.
  • Improving journal services, usability, and scholarly communication.

3. Legal Basis

Personal data are processed based on the performance of a contract (publishing and peer-review services), legitimate interests (journal operations and integrity), and, where applicable, consent (e.g., optional profiles or communications).

4. Cookies & Analytics

The platform uses essential cookies for authentication and session continuity. Non-essential analytics, if enabled, are limited and aggregated. Users may control cookies via browser settings.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

IJCE does not sell personal data. Limited sharing may occur with service providers supporting hosting, indexing, or preservation under appropriate safeguards. Personal emails are not displayed publicly unless explicitly provided for publication metadata.

6. Data Retention

Account and workflow records are retained as needed to preserve the scholarly record and comply with legal, ethical, and indexing requirements. Users may request account closure, subject to the integrity of the published record.

7. Your Rights

  • Access, rectification, and update of personal information.
  • Erasure or restriction of processing where legally permissible.
  • Objection to processing and data portability (where applicable).
  • Withdrawal of consent for optional processing without affecting prior lawful use.
